Recovery isn't linear.

And it sure as heck isn't easy.

But here's what I know: eating disorders thrive in isolation and silence.
They convince you that you're the only one, that no one understands, that recovery means losing control.

None of that is true.

An ED can make you feel completely alone.

My job is to make sure you're not.

ED-informed nutrition counseling designed for YOUR recovery

This isn't your typical "eat more vegetables" nutrition advice.
I work specifically with clients who are medically stable and ready for outpatient eating disorder support.

That means:
  • We go at your pace
Not the ED's pace. Not treatment center pace. Yours. Some days we talk about meal plans. Other days we just process how hard this is.
  • We work WITH your treatment team
Already seeing a therapist or psychiatrist? Perfect. I'll collaborate with them (with your permission) so everyone's on the same page
  • We address the real stuff
Body image work, fear foods, challenging ED rules, managing urges, navigating social situations, dealing with comments from family—all of it.
  • We make this sustainable
Recovery isn't about following a rigid meal plan forever. It's about building skills so you can live your actual life.

You deserve a provider who understands ALL of you

Research shows that LGBTQ+ folks experience eating disorders at higher rates than the general population, but often face providers who don't understand the intersection of gender identity, sexuality, and relationship with food and body.

Maybe you've sat in a provider's office before and felt like you had to translate your experience or educate them about your identity.

You shouldn't have to do that here.

As an eating disorder dietitian, I understand:
  • How gender dysphoria can complicate body image and eating
  • The impact of minority stress on mental health and coping mechanisms
  • Why "traditional" recovery language doesn't always fit
  • The importance of chosen family and community in healing
Your pronouns matter. Your identity matters. Your whole story matters.

Meal structure and flexibility

We'll build eating patterns that support your body AND your life—not just rigid rules that feed the ED.

Fear food challenges

When you're ready, we'll work through reintroducing foods the ED has made "unsafe." No pressure, no timeline, just gradual exposure at your pace.

Body image processing

Because recovery isn't just about food. We'll work through the thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about your body that keep you stuck.

Meet Rachel

Food became something to fear and control for me at a young age.

Growing up in the era of "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels," Atkins diet commercials, pro-ED Tumblr, and constant body comparison, my relationship with food and my body became toxic.

Learning about Intuitive Eating from dietitians who practiced through this lens is what finally helped shift things for me.

Now I get to do that for others, especially for folks who deserve to see themselves reflected in their provider.

That's why this matters. That's why I'm here.

Client experiences

"I started working with Rachel for both general and
sports nutrition purposes, and she's by far the best
dietitian I've ever worked with. She's very easy to
talk to, and she's great at helping you figure out how
to meet your body's needs, even if those needs are
changing over time."
"I came to this practice looking for a nutritionist that understands the intersections of gender, socio-economic status and nutrition. As a guy, getting help in this area can feel daunting. Rachel has made me feel seen, heard and supported as I take control back of my nutrition."
"Rachel helped me move away from rigid food rules and toward intuitive eating in a way that felt safe and supportive. I love her balanced approach—no extremes, no judgment—just real guidance that’s helped me change my mindset and begin to build a healthier relationship with food."
"Rachel is the most nonjudgmental, kind, and down to earth dietitian I've ever worked with. They’re so knowledgeable and I never feel embarrassed or misunderstood when working with her, and even more so, she celebrates my wins with me, and we troubleshoot issues I might be having a hard time with. I'm so grateful to have found Rachel and this practice!"

How it all works

Step One | Welcome Call

We'll meet via phone or video for approximately 15 minutes.

You'll tell me where you're at in recovery, I'll explain how I work with ED clients, and we'll both decide if this feels right. Zero pressure, zero judgment.

Step Two | Initial Session

This is where we discuss your history with the eating disorder, previous treatment, current symptoms, support system, and what you need.

We'll talk honestly about where you are in recovery and create a collaborative plan that meets you there. Not where the ED wants you to be, where YOU actually are.

Step Three | Follow Ups

Most ED clients start with weekly sessions because consistency matters in early recovery.

As things stabilize, we might space them out. Each session is different based on what you need.
You're always in control of the pace. The ED doesn't get to run the show anymore, YOU do.

You deserve recovery

Not someday. Not when you're "sick enough."
Not when you hit some arbitrary number.

Right now. As you are.

Recovery is messy and nonlinear and sometimes feels impossible.
But you don't have to figure it out alone.

You deserve to be fully present, fully alive, fully YOU.
